Construction is underway at 278 8th Avenue, a 200,00 sq. ft. property that fills a full city block in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. The former CVS and New York Sports Club will be converted into a 14-story apartment tower hosting 190 luxury apartments, with retail at the base.

Target has pre-signed to anchor the retail space, with other retailers vying for the remaining slots. Estimated to complete the project in Q1 of 2024, JJOP remains hands-on with its team of architects, engineers, designers, and construction managers, closely overseeing the project’s day-to-day development. This involved approach, combined with JJOP’s reputation for highly successful retail space renovations, will cement 278 8th Avenue’s prominent place in JJOP’s portfolio for generations to come.
